Eura Walker Barlow

Obituary: Mrs. Eura Walker Barlow, age 99, loving Mother of Mildred Barlow Keller (Bob) of Charlotte, NC and Wanda Barlow Henderson (Gary) of Knoxville, TN passed away October 8, 2009 at Concord Place Assisted Living. She was born September 23, 1910 to the late Levi & Kate Snyder Walker of Reddies River, NC. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Monroe Barlow in 1981; brothers Tom Walker, Ted Walker, Willie Walker and sisters Ruth Walker Dancy and Sallie Hayes of Wilkesboro, NC. Along with her daughters and son-in-laws, she is survived by a special niece Patty Barlow Argo (Ken) and eight grandchildren: Robin Keller Bowlin (Rob) of Indian Trail, NC and Christi Keller Barker (T.P.) and Lance Keller (Megan) all of Charlotte, NC; Phillip Douglas Henderson (Nan) of Manhattan, Kansas; Ann Henderson Henderlight, Lynn Henderson Crowell (Jackie), Gary Mark Henderson (Carol Ann), Renee Henderson Gray (Martin) all of Knoxville, TN; ten great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces & nephews in Kannapolis, Greensboro, Wilkesboro and Stallings, NC. The Family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home on Sunday, October 11, 2009, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. Service will follow at Whitley's Chapel at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Willie Rash officiating of Centerview Baptist Church where she was a member for over 60 years. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County for their compassionate care. Many thanks to the staff at Concord Place Assisted Living for their love & care given during her 5 years there. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to Centerview Baptist Church, 415 Walter Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083 and Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081. Arrangements are in the care of Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis, NC.
