Obituary: Evelyn Dobbs Bradley, 73, of Kannapolis died Thursday, June 16, 2011 at CMC-NE Med. Center, Concord after a period of declining health.Her funeral will be at 4:00 PM Sunday, June 19 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Kannapolis with Rev. Judy White and Dr. Harold Bales. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 4:00 PM Sunday in the church parlor.Evelyn was born March 10, 1938 in Gaston Co., daughter of the late John W. Dobbs, Sr. and Sara Adams Dobbs. She was raised in Gastonia and graduated from Gaston Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and was employed there as an Operating Room nurse for 20 years. Evelyn moved to this area in 1979 and worked as an O.R. nurse at NE Med. Center in Concord until she retired in 1999. She was a member of Trinity UMC. Evelyn was a devoted Christian and lived her faith daily through her services to others.She was preceded in death by her husband, William V. Bradley, Jr. in 2008Evelyn was survived by her brother, John W. Dobbs (Gayle) of Gastonia and 2 nephews, J. Mark Dobbs (Ashley) and B. Todd Dobbs (Kathy), both of Charlotte and 4 grand-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Earl L.
