Evelyn D Bushey

Obituary: Evelyn Delores Bushey, 81, of Concord went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at her residence following a period of declining health. Evelyn was born July 10, 1937 in Warren County, Ky. one of thirteen children to the late Hollie Lethal Duff and Mary Virginia Conner Duff. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years; Rev. Ronald E. Bushey, Sr. who died March 22, 2018, five sisters and two brothers. Family members left to cherish her memory are four children: Ronald E. Bushey, Jr. (Barbara), Marion V. Bushey Asselin (Pete), Pamela D. Bushey Cooley (Todd), and Robert W. Bushey (Monica), three sisters, Mary Helen Tibbs, Sue Kendall and Jean Davis, and two brothers, Gary and Dean Duff. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Charity Baptist Church, Kannapolis conducted by Dr. Marty Peyton. The family will receive friends at Charity Baptist Church Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. At other times they will be at their respective residences. Evelyn was a member of Charity Baptist Church. She had retired from IBM. She enjoyed cooking for the church and her family. She dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Charity Baptist Church, Food Pantry Fund, 2420 Brantley Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
