Obituary: Everette Norman Ingram, 72, of Kannapolis, formerly of Charlotte went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 20, 2013 from his home after a period of declining health. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 23 at First Baptist Church of Enochville with Rev. Lewis Whittington officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 22. Everette was born March 27, 1941 in Charlotte, a son of the late John T. and Blanche Helms Ingram, he was the youngest of 9 children. A lifelong area resident, Everette owned and operated his own auto paint and body shop, City Wide Body Shop in Charlotte. He was a dirt track racer in the 60's and 70's and a baseball coach for several different teams including Johnston Memorial YMCA from 1970 to "77. He moved his family to Kannapolis in 1996 and was a member of First Baptist Church of Enochville, being baptized in the church in Dec. of 2012. In addition to his parents, Everette was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 53 years; Mary Ingram of the home, his children; Rick Ingram (Daniese) of Charlotte, David Ingram (Nicole) of Kannapolis, Merilyn Ellis (Bobby) of Troutman, Jamie Ingram (Tracy) of China Grove, Kathy Musselwhite (Bryan) of Kannapolis, his brother; Harvey Ingram (Peggy) of Charlotte and 16 grandchildren and 6 Great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Whitley's Funeral Home.

Service: 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 23, 2013 at First Baptist Church.

Interment: West Lawn Memorial Park.
