Obituary: Fay Esther White West age 91 of Concord, NC died November 9, 2017. Service will be held at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis, NC Monday November 13, 2017. Receiving will be at 12:00 pm with service following at 2:00 in the Chapel. Officiating is Reverend Randy Ardis and Reverend Michael Caskey, burial at Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery. Born December 30, 1925 in Kannapolis, NC and preceeded in death by her husband, James C. West. The daughter of the late Lindley Guy White and Grace Ethel Hudson White. Also preceded in death by her brothers Gilbert White and Earl White and her sister Ethel Gaddis. She worked during WWII at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. She owned and operated Grandma's Quilt Shop for 10 years. She was the Founder and President of the Happy Quilter's Club. She was a Certified Quilt Teacher and Judge. She judged for the Master's Guild with the National Quilting Association. She was a charter member and currently active at Bible Presbyterian Church, 6237 Rumple Road, Charlotte, NC. She is in preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Lewis. She has 4 living daughters, Dianne Stoudt, Rachel West and Victoria Ellington all of Concord, NC and Gracie Padgett of Virginia. She also has 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.
