Foster Baucom

Obituary: Foster Wayne Baucom, 76, of Concord died Thursday, September 19, 2013 at his home. He was born August 29, 1937 in Stanly County, the son of the late Oscar Lee and Verla Helms Baucom. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Baucom in 2012. He had formerly worked at Cannon Mills and was owner of Baucom Home Improvements for many years. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, Sept. 22nd at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Darrell Coble and Rev. Brenda Seaford. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Whitley's. He is survived by three daughters, Shelby Brewer (Tim) of Greensboro, Linda Squires (Henry) of Arkansas, Barbara Kiser (Larry) of Rockwell, a son, Chris Baucom of Concord, a step-daughter, Brenda Seaford (Gary) of Lake Wylie, SC, 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren a brother, Lee Junior Baucom of Conover, and three sisters, Rosa Lee Robinson of Kannapolis, Doris Jean Helms of Charlotte and Bennie Hunsucker of Concord. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Cabarrus County for their love and care shown to Foster and his family.
