Frances Elizabeth (Allmon) Bigby

Frances Elizabeth Allmon Bigby, 88, of Concord ascended to her heavenly home on December 5, 2021.

Born April 12, 1933 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late David Lee and Pearl Beck Allmon. Aside from her parents, Frances was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of nearly 68 years, Rev. Feaster Bigby on Christmas Eve 2020. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Bigby Foust.

With attachment to her deep Christian faith, Frances taught Women's Sunday School at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Concord for over 25 years. Always thinking of others, she made prayer shawls for Hospice. Two of her favorite hobbies were quilting and sewing. She was a loyal pastor's wife and a Godly mother that taught her children well.

The memory of Frances will be cherished by those she leaves behind including three children, Debra Bigby Kiser and husband Randy, Archie Bryson Bigby, and Rachel Bigby Helms and husband Ricky; three grandchildren, Jessica Hicks, Amber Proctor, and Cody Bigby; six great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Allmon Evers and Faye Allmon Heilig and husband Melvin.

A memorial service to honor Frances' life will take place at 1:00 PM Friday, December 10, 2021 visitation will be held one- hour prior at 12:00 PM at Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 5340 Flowes Store Rd. Concord. Pastor Robert Mayfield and Rev. Earl James will officiate. Inurnment will follow in Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
