Frances Burgess Bunn

Obituary: Frances Pearline Burgess Bunn, age 87, went to be with Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on March 1, 2015. She was born March 29, 1927 in Anson County, NC, the daughter of the late John Benton Burgess and Mary Pauline Thomas Burgess. Frances was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Enochville, Kannapolis, NC. One of her favorite Bible verses was Philippians 4:8, "And now, brothers, as I close this letter, let me say this one more thing: Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others. Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about." In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Billy McLean Bunn, Sr. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Lewis Whittington. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service. Survivors include her children, Billy McLean Bunn, Jr. (Tammy) and Karen Owle, both of Kannapolis, NC; and Mickie Hager of Mooresville, NC; her brother, Bradford (Dolly) Burgess of Kannapolis, NC; her two sisters, Carolyn (Harold) Watson and Catherine Munday, both of Concord, NC; and three grandchildren, Marie Owle, Brons Hasty, and Elizabeth Bunn.
