Frances Bell "Becky" Chewning

Obituary: Frances Bell "Becky" Chewning, 82, of Kannapolis passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2012 at the Best of Care. She was born July 7, 1929 in Gaston County, the daughter of the late Dennis and Mary Loftin Bell. She was a home maker and a very devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Royal Oaks Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Leon Hawks. Burial will be at 12:00 PM Monday at National Cemetery in Salisbury. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday prior at Whitley's. She is survived by her husband, George P. Chewning, her son Sammy Chewning (Beth) of Landis, her daughter Gail Huffstetler (John) of Kannapolis, four grandchildren: Holly, Derek and Dustin Huffstetler and Jeff Chewning and her sister Eloise Dellinger of Gastonia.
