Frances Lanette (Morris) Fields

Frances Lanette Morris Fields, 93, of Concord, passed away peacefully Saturday August 28, 2021 at home after a period of declining health. Born August 21, 1928 in Madison County, GA, she was the daughter of the late James Oliver and Margaret Lorene Castor Morris.
During her working years, Frances excelled in clerical work for the U.S. Government, working at Salisbury Veterans' Hospital.
Frances is survived by her sister, Billie Jordan; niece, Debbie Clay and nephew Robbie Jordan, all of Concord; special friends, Keith and Michelle Bowersox of Rockwell; and a number of grand nieces and grand nephews.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Perry Lee Fields in 2015.
A funeral service to honor Frances' life will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday August 30, 2021 at Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis. Pastor Ray Schroeder will officiate. Entombment will take place in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
