Frances C. Hadley Gray

Obituary: Frances Charlene Hadley Gray was born July 8, 1926 in Geneseo, Kansas and passed away February 5, 2012 in Concord, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Charles Hadley and Georgiabelle Crihfield. A homemaker, Fran enjoyed many activities including golf, bridge, sewing, quilting, traveling and spending time with her many friends. She was active for many years in her church, Faith Presbyterian. After living in San Diego for 48 years she and husband Robert spent their remaining years in North Carolina. Frances is survived by her son John (Kristina) and her daughter Laura (Walter) Waweru. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Evan, Riley and Kyle Gray and Micah, Bekah and Kristin Waweru. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert Gray, in 2008. Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday, February 10 at 10:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Poplar Tent Presbyterian Church, 6841 Poplar Tent Road, Concord, NC 28027.
