Obituary: Frances Copeland Hinson, 75, of Kannapolis passed away on December 12, 2014 after declining health for many years. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, December 15, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Tim McQueen. The family will greet friends after the service. Burial will be private at Carolina Memorial Park. Mrs. Hinson was born February 2, 1939 in Ruby, SC, the only child of the late Jackson J. Copeland and Mattie Hilton Copeland of Ruby. She retired from Cabarrus Memorial Hospital after 24 years of service in 1994. Also, was employed at Lakewood Baptist Church and First Baptist Church, Kannapolis as Financial Secretary. She loved music and playing the piano. She also did a lot of hand work-afghans, bedspreads, quilts, walker bags, etc. and gave them to help others. She enjoyed traveling with Christian Tours and with her children. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Reece Hinson in 1990, granddaughter Aprille Bradley in 1991, daughter Anita Hinson McDonald in January 2014 and a son-in-law Reese Bradley. She is survived by a daughter, Robin Hinson Bradley of Salisbury, a son, David Reece Hinson and wife, Sharon of Baker, Fl., three grandchildren, Jonathan Wayne Bradley, Kylie and Lynsey McDonald and son-in-law, Bill McDonald of Ft. Mill, SC. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rowan County, 720 Grove St., Salisbury, NC 28144.
Visitation: The family will receive friends after the Service.

Service: 1:00 P.M., Monday December 15, 2014 Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment: Private at Carolina Memorial Park.
