Frances Richardson

Obituary: Frances Juanita Garris Richardson, 83, of Kannapolis went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at CHC-Northeast Medical Center, Concord following a period of declining health. She was born April 3, 1933 in Yadkin County, NC a daughter of the late McKinley and Emma Prevette Garris. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Judy K. Wilcox. Frances was a Christian Lady who adored music. She was funny, witty and very giving. She had worked as a CNA at First Assembly Living Center prior to her retirement. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Darrell Cox, Pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Mocksville. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 P.M. Tuesday prior to the service. Surviving family members include two sons, Steve Goodin of Lexington, Jeff Goodin of China Grove, four daughters, Jane Parham and husband Terry Parham of China Grove, Rita Goins and husband Jeff of Winston-Salem, Elaine Allison and husband Ronald of Woodleaf, and Denise Allison and husband James of Mocksville and one brother John Garris of Lexington. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four step grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Whitley's Funeral Home is serving the family of Mrs. Richardson.
