Obituary: Frances Greene Power Willingham, 72, of Kannapolis, passed away May 19, 2017. Visitation will be held at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis on May 25, 2017 at 6:00 - 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at Whitley's Funeral Home on May 25, 2017 at 7:00 pm with Reverend Mike Hubbard officiating. Frances was born in Cabarrus County, NC to James (Frank) and Faynelle Greene on March 7, 1945. She went to high school at A.L. Brown High School and graduated in 1963. She went on to Evan's business college and pursued administrative work throughout her career. She spent many years working in the central office of the Kannapolis City Schools. She enjoyed spending time on Lake Norman and Ocracoke, NC where she loved fishing and being near the ocean. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Frances is preceded in death by her parents, James (Frank) and Faynelle; and two sisters Janice and Judy. Frances is survived by her brother Frank (Sandy) Greene of Brea, CA; sons Jeff (Charlie) Power; Davey (Teena) Power; five grandchildren Erin, Matt and Abby Power; Kayla ljames and Kendra Power; and great-granddaughter Payton ljames. Two nieces Jana (Carlos) Nance and Jennifer Harmon; great niece Carmen Fortner and great nephew Zane Harmon. Whitley's Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements.
