Obituary: Kannapolis, NC- Frank Adams, age 79, died Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at the Bob & Carolyn Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, NC after 4 months of declining health. He was born April 6, 1930 in Wadesboro, NC, the son of the late Ross L. Adams and Rossie James Adams. He was employed as a print dept. supervisor at Superba Print, Mooresville, NC for 11 years until his retirement in 1993. H was a member of the Baptist faith. He had also served in the U.S. Army. In earlier years he enjoyed woodworking and working in his garden. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Lacy Adams and two sisters, Dorothy Oliphant and Mildred Deadman. The funeral service will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Stephen Burrow. Burial will follow at Unity United Methodist Church Cemetery, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service. Survivors include his wife of years, Ruth Scercy Adams; two sons, Frank Nolan (Butch) Adams of Kannapolis, NC and Todd Alan Adams; two grandchildren, Joshua Nolan Adams and Alexander Elijah Adams; and a sister, Ruth Crane of Midland, NC.
