Obituary: Kannapolis- Frankie Aldridge, 72, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, March 27, 2019, surrounded by family. Frankie was born June 4, 1946 in Cabarrus County, a son of the late Arthur Lee and Grace Lucille Patterson Aldridge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Aldridge; a brother, Henry Aldridge; a sister-in-law, Patricia Aldridge, and brother-in-law, James "Mook" Aldridge. A talented construction worker most of his life, Frank had a tremendous love for animals, having had many loved pets over the years. His leisure was filled with a love for wagon trains, family, friends, gardening and playing horseshoes. His family and friends are blessed with the depth of his love and loyalty for the rest of their lives. Family members include his brothers, Bobby Aldridge and Johnnie Aldridge (Brenda); sisters Willie Taylor and Emmie Trexler; special cousin, Mike Milam (Nina) and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 30th from 2:00-4:00 PM at Whitley's Funeral Home. Funeral services to remember and celebrate the life of Mr. Aldridge will begin at 4:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Rev. Johnnie Aldridge, Jr. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. For those who may prefer, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
