Obituary: Frankie Reid "Frank" Williams, 68 of Concord, passed away, Thursday, September 28, 2017, at CHS-University Hospital. He was born March 2, 1949 in Cabarrus Co. to the late Lawrence Eugene Williams and Ava Nell Adams Williams. Frank received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from UNC Charlotte, Master's of Arts from Appalachian State University & a Doctorate (PhD) of Philosophy in Theology from International Seminary. Frank was a professor of Business at Bladen Community College in Bladenboro, he founded the "First Assembly of God" in Bladenboro where he pastored for 20 years and he was a professor of business at RCCC in Salisbury. Most recently he was a pastor at Mt Pleasant Pentecostal Church for 8 years. Frank was well respected and well loved. He loved spending time with family and friends, and he enjoyed tennis, racquetball & golfing. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Caroline Williams, daughters Hope Williams, Esther Scoggins and husband Kim, sons, Douglas Parker, Darryl Parker and wife Kristen, four grandchildren, Darryl, Ayla, Harmony Scoggins & Olivia Parker, brothers Barry Williams, Ricky Williams and wife Glenda, sisters, Cathy Pennington and husband Steve, Connie Patton and husband Butch. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday Sept. 30, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017 at the Chapel at Whitley's Funeral Home with Revs. Marvin Goodnight Jr. & Jimmy Barnhill officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. Memorials may be made to Maranatha Worship Center, 99 S. White Street, Concord, NC 28027.
