Obituary: Franklin Eli Adams, 86, of China Grove, NC died at CMC-NorthEast in Concord on December 14, 2015. Mr. Adams was born on February 10, 1929 in Rowan Co., NC the son of the late Clyde Butler Adams, Sr. and the late Mary Katherine Upright Adams. Mr. Adams worked for 37 years in the card room at Corriher Mills and for many of those years as a supervisor. He also was known as the score keeper for the Linn-Corriher softball team. He also enjoyed hunting, particularly for rabbits, squirrels and other small game. The service for Mr. Adams will take place at Concordia Lutheran Church on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015 at 3:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. Ken Reed and Rev. Joe Thomas. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., before the service. Survivors include his wife, Mary Long Adams of the home; a son, Jason E. Adams (Jennifer) and a step-son; Jeffrey Morris; three daughters; Zelma Burgin (Donna), Margaret Buckner (Paul), and Julie Willis (Wesley); a step-daughter; Janice Lambert (Tim), 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, six brothers; Donald, Hubert, Clyde Jr., Larry, Tommy and Billy; and four sisters; Evelyn, Janette, JoAnn and Carolyn.
