Fred Sydney Little

Fred Sydney Little, age 54, of Kannapolis passed away unexpectedly on Saturday November 16, 2019 at home. Born on April 4, 1965 in Cabarrus County, he was the son of the late Sammie Query.

Fred enjoyed traveling, driving truck, motorcycles and the mountains, particularly Cherokee and the Maggie Valley area of North Carolina as well as Tennessee. He will leave fond memories behind for many.

Aside from his mother, Fred was preceded in death by his companion of more than 20 years, Carol Ann Turner. He is survived by his step-children, Shannon Weddington (Chris), Kelly Robinson (Bryan) and Kendall Turner (Mandy); 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; a sister, Rebecca Smith Horton (Bob); a brother, Cyrus Lee Smith and his companion Michelle McRae; current companion, Brenda Owens, her daughter Brittany Owens and her grandson Noah Owens; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held to honor Fred’s life on at 11:00AM Saturday November 23, 2019 at Whitley’s Funeral Home. Pastor James Pauley will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
