Fred H. Wallace, Sr.

Obituary: Fred H. Wallace, Sr., age 81, of Kannapolis passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the Tucker Hospice House. Fred was born July 19, 1936 in Rowan County a son of the late Barney Wallace and Kathleen Broadway Wallace. He worked for Cannon Mills for 43 years and retired in 1995. He was a member of Unity United Methodist Church. Mr. Wallace enjoyed working around the house and watching Western Movies. Preceding him in death was his wife of 58 years Ethel Mae Gulledge Wallace on November 24, 2012; brothers Calvin, Jerry and Billy Wayne Wallace; sister Betty Mae Morgan. Those left to cherish his memories are his children Debbie Mills (Ricky), Freddie Wallace, Steve Wallace (Teressa), Michael Wallace (Dawn) and Robin Austin (David) all of Kannapolis; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; sister Malinda Bentley. Graveside Service: 2:00 PM Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Carolina Memorial Park. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Tucker Hospice House, 5005 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
