Fred Brammer, 77, of Kannapolis, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Tucker Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.
Fred was born in Roanoke, VA to the late Samuel Brammer and Corbette Ferrell Brammer.
Fred retired from International Harvester Company and was previously employed by Piedmont Airlines.
He held the rank of Major in the USAFA, and was an avid amateur radio operator, as well as a MARS radio station until his health no longer allowed. Known for his sense of laughter, contagious smile, generosity, and the love of his dogs Daisy, Buffy, and Lizzy.
He will be missed by his beloved wife of 56 years, Laura Brammer of the home; daughters, Susan (Michael) Goodman of Jefferson, GA and Amy (Jay) Howland of Harrisburg, NC; son, Derick (Amy) Brammer of Kannapolis; six grandchildren, Megan (Oscar) Jaimes - Arias, Jeremy (Bailey) Goodman, William Howland, Augie Howland, Linzi Johnson, and Wesley Johnson, and one great grandchild Shiloh James-Arias and sisters, Myra Hogan and Pam (David) Yost.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Fred’s memory may be made to Tucker Hospice House, 5005 Hospice Ln., Kannapolis, NC 28081.
