Gary Allan Chandler

Obituary: Gary Allan Chandler, 79, of 6182 Blue Crown Court, died Tuesday, January 04, 2011 at Brian Center of Concord following a short illness. He was born December 10, 1931 in Lamar County, SC son of the late Andrew Muldrow Chandler and Ada Belle Wright Chandler. Mr. Chandler was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church, Concord . He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He had retired from Springs Industries following 34 years of service and was a veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Korean War era. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 7, 2011 at Parkwood Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Michael Waters and Rev. Steve Davis. Visitation will be at the church following the memorial service. At other times the family will be at their respective residences. Mr. Chandler is survived by three daughters: Karen Swicegood and Husband Tim and Paige Knox and Husband Steve all of Charlotte, and Dawn Morrison and Husband Chris of Kannapolis. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Chandler and Kenzie Knox, Heath and Jared Morrison and Julia Harris and Husband Chris.
