Gary Mckee Colvard

Obituary: Gary McKee Colvard, 65, of Kannapolis, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 23, 2017 from CHS-NE after a period of declining health. His funeral will be held at Whitley's Funeral Home chapel at 4:00 PM Monday, June 26. His family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 to 4:00 PM prior to the funeral. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Gary was born October 12, 1951 in Cabarrus Co., the son of the late Claude and Eunice Lovette Colvard. He was a lifelong area resident and member of Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church. Gary worked as a landscaper for many years, until retiring on disability. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Shelia Starnes Colvard of the home, his step-son, Gerald Faulkner of Kannapolis and his step-daughter, Amy Simpson of Landis as well as 2 grandchildren, Alisha Carter and Devon Simpson.
