Gay Lynn Stanley

Obituary: Gay Lynn Stanley, 65, of Kannapolis, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018, at CMC-NE. She was born December 16, 1952 in Forsyth Co. to the late Graham Ireland and Geraldine Head Ireland. Gay was a real-estate agent for many years, retiring form Keller-Williams whom she enjoyed working with. She loved going to the beach and loved spending time with her grand babies. She was preceded in death by a son Bryan Kelly Stanley. Those left to cherish her memory, her husband of 49 years Stephen Stanley Sr., one son Stephen Stanley Jr. (Emily) of Kannapolis, daughter-in-law Lisa Stanley, three grandchildren Graceanne Stanley, Sara Stanley, Surena Stanley, two brothers, Gary and Rickey Ireland, and one sister, Gerry Thomas. A Celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday October 17 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel, The family will receive friends after the service.
