George Belk

George Carroll Belk, 73, of Kannapolis passed away Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Atrium Health Cabarrus. He was born October 7, 1946 in Jefferson, SC, a son of the late George James Belk and Gertrude Melton Belk.

George retired from PremTech and Cannon Mills. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the US Army. He was a member of First Wesleyan Church. He was an avid woodworker making swings and Adirondack chairs. He loved cooking and fishing.

George is survived by his wife of 53 years, Connie Sullivan Belk, daughter, Leslie Shue (Dustin), grandchildren, Lane and Paisley Shue, brothers, Ralph Belk (Carol), Jimmy Belk (Rhonda), Gary Belk and sister, Debbie Garmon (John).

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at West Lawn Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Scott Wheeler.
