George Pharr Oehler, Jr.

Obituary: George Pharr Oehler, Jr., 71, of Kannapolis passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the Tucker Hospice House. He was born in Cabarrus County on December 31, 1942. He was the son of the late George Pharr Oehler, Sr. and Pauline Rumple Oehler. He was a graduate of W.R. Odell School and NC State College. He retired from Cabarrus County in 2004. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Lynn Cash. Private internment will follow services. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM prior at Whitley's. George is survived by his sister, Ann Oehler Suther and her husband, Terry, of Kannapolis; two nieces: Kimberly Ann Suther, of Seattle, WA and Lisa Suther Johnson of Fayetteville, NC, and numerous cousins. The family wishes to offer their thanks to the wonderful staff of Hospice of Cabarrus County, especially LuAnn Reed, Amy Gibson and Lisa Cline.
