Georgetta Lee Cantrell

Obituary: Georgetta Lee Cantrell, 78, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 30, 2015 at CHS-NE Medical Center, Concord following a period of declining health. She was born August 25, 1937 in Pulaski County, Ky., a daughter of the late Parker Young and Sally Hasket Young. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Henry Cantrell on April 15, 2009, and a sister, Jean Bush. Survivors include three sons, William Henry Cantrell, Jr. and wife Donna of Currituck County, NC, Michael R. Cantrell and wife Kim of Concord, and Barry L. Cantrell and wife Pamela of Mint Hill. She is also survived by five grandchildren, William Henry Cantrell, III, Christopher Thomas Cantrell, Andrew J. Cantrell, Mark C. Cantrell and Allie Christen Cantrell. Funeral services will be 2:30 P.M. Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel conducted by Rev. Mike Hubbard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30-2:30 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
