Georgia Johnston Parker

Obituary: Georgia Johnston Parker, 68, of Concord, passed away on Monday, Dec. 24, 2012 at CMC-NorthEast. She was born October 6, 1944 in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Paul Parks Johnston Sr and the late Miriam Lucille Williford Johnston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wayne Parker Sr. on June 13, 2012. She retired from Food Lion, Inc. She was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Jimmy Barrett. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM prior at Whitley's. She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Isenhour and husband, Rhett, two sons, Jerry Wayne Parker Jr. and wife Wendy, John Paul Parker all of Concord, 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, a sister, Maxine Crainshaw and two brothers, Paul Parks Johnston Jr. and Rick Johnston.
