Obituary: Gerald Mitchell Gray, Jr., 41, of Landis went to his heavenly resting place Wednesday, Aug. 31 in a boating accident.Gerald was born October 19, 1969 in Concord the son of Gerald and Anita Gray, Sr.In addition to his parents those left to Cherish his memory are his wife and very best friend of 23 years, Sandy Lineberry Gray, his daughter, Bailey Beach and husband, Blake, his son, Gerald "Mitchell" Gray III, his precious granddaughter Kymber Leigh Beach, his brothers, Michael Gray and Jason Gray and wife, Irene and his nieces, nephews, many other extended family members and friends.Gerald was employed by Williams Electric Company, He loved his job and the many friends that he made over the years. His first loves were his granddaughter, his children, which he was so proud of and his wife, they were his life.Special Note: "Bunky you are my number one, my best friend, the one my heart will always belong to. I will always cherish the time we had together and the memories we made. I Love You high as the sky, deep as the sea always and forever. Sandy."Visitation will be from 6:00 -8:00 PM Saturday, Sept. 3 at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis. The Funeral will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, Sept. 4 at Friendship Freewill Baptist Church on W. 22nd Street, Kannapolis conducted by Pastor Marler Starnes.
