Geraldine Faye Cooke Booth

Obituary: Mrs. Geraldine Faye Cooke Booth, 87, died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis following a period of declining health.She was born August 25, 1924 in Rowan County, NC daughter of the late Curtis Vestal Cooke, Sr., and Jeanette Edwards Cooke. Mrs. Booth was a member of Flow-Harris Presbyterian Church. She retired in 1986 from Cannon Mills Plt. #2 with 20 years service and later worked at the Winecoff School Cafeteria.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Allen Booth who died April 24, 1999, a brother, Curtis V. Cooke, Jr. and a sister, Margie Ann Cooke.Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 20, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel conducted by Rev. Bill Jolly. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 P.M. prior to the service. At other times they will be at the residence. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.She is survived by one son, James Michael Booth of Kannapolis and one daughter, Lisa Booth of Newport News, Va. Memorials may be made to Flow-Harris Presbyterian Church, 308 Winecoff School Road, Concord, NC 28027.
Visitation: 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., Friday Jan. 20, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home.

Service: 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 20th at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment: Carolina Mem. Park.
