Gladys Virginia Hager

Obituary: Kannapolis, NC- Gladys Virginia Nunn Hager, age 88, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at CMC-NorthEast, Concord, NC. She was born May 22, 1921 in Patrick County, Virginia, the daughter of the late J.L. Nunn and Emmaline Lawson Nunn. In earlier years she was employed with the former Cannon Mills Company, Plt.#1 and worked many years until her retirement. She also was a member of West Point Baptist Church, Kannapolis, NC. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Howard W. Hager. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Blair Bridle. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at the funeral home. Survivors include her son, Michael W. Hager & wife, Dawn of Williamsburg, VA; two grandchildren, Michelle Kelly of Salisbury, NC and Brian Hager of China Grove, NC; five great-grandchildren, Courtney Kelly, Stormey Kelly, Jadah Teague, Bradley Hager, and Nicholas Hager; and two great-great-grandchildren, Karma Grant and Randy Grant; and a special niece, Tilda Ratliff of Kannapolis, NC. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to West Point Baptist Church, 1100 Pine Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
