Gladys Goforth Jordan

Obituary: Jordan, Gladys Goforth Kannapolis, NC- Gladys Goforth Jordan, age 77, died suddenly Thursday, November 22, 2012 at her home. She was born October 31, 1935 in Alexander County, NC, the daughter of the late Carlie B. Goforth and Nancy Barnes Goforth. In earlier years Gladys was employed with the former Cannon Mills Company, Plant One, # 1 Weave Room for forty some years until the closing of the mill. She also was co-owner of Ti-Gi's Lingerie in Kannapolis. She was also a member of New Hope Lutheran Church, Kannapolis, NC. She is fondly remembered as a lady that loved her family. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Kim E. Trabold. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service. Survivors include children, Danny Ray Jordan of Concord, NC, Scott Jordan (Paula) of China Grove, NC, Terry Jordan of Kannapolis, NC and Sherry Rhodes (Gary) of Enochville, NC; four grandchildren, Whittney Graham (Shane),Travis Rhodes, Nikki Brigman, and Caleb Jordan; four great-grandchildren, McKenzie Graham, Haley Brigman, Seth Brigman, and Sadie Brigman; one brother, Carlie Goforth, Jr (Pearl); three sisters, Earlene Reece (Jim), Lorine Snow, Linda Clayton, and Diann Holland (Victor).
