Gladys Wingler Wilkes

Obituary: Gladys Wingler Wilkes, 75 of Kannapolis, NC died at her home on, Oct. 13, 2016. Gladys was born March 27, 1941 in Cabarrus Co., NC the daughter of the late Fred Wingler and the late Marie Absher Wingler. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Larry Wilkes and three brothers, Charles, Glenn and Paul Wingler. Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Arquette (Ken), a granddaughter; Jamie Matthews, two great-granddaughters; Merida and Ella Matthews, one brother, Larry Wingler, five sisters; Ella Jean Menius, Ailene Watson, Ruth Eldreth, Doris Stokes and Penny Story. The service for Mrs. Wilkes will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 16th at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Mark Murphy. Burial will take place at Carolina Mem. Park.
