Obituary: Glenn Lamont "Munt" Goodman, 79, of Kannapolis passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at his home. He was born October 12, 1934 in Rowan County, the son of the late Charlie Glenn Goodman and Mary Leona Misenheimer Goodman. He owned Goodman Painting from 1955-2004. He was a veteran of the US Army. Lamont had a passion for C.B. radio and was known by "Mish" to his CB radio friends. He also was a talented musician playing many instruments such as the guitar, banjo, mandolin, harmonica and others. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, Feb. 24, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel. He is survived by his wife, Clara Howell Goodman, his son, Derek Goodman, two grandchildren, Casey and Shasta Goodman, great grandchild, Addison Goodman, two brothers, Charles Vernon Goodman and Danny Mitchell "Bud" Goodman and two sisters, Geraldine G. Kluttz and Phyllis Kay Bradshaw. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
