Gloria Denise (Wilhite) Moore

Gloria Denise Wilhite Moore, 64 of Kannapolis, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at her residence.

Gloria was born on August 12, 1959 in Georgia. She was a cherished daughter of the late Carlton Wilhite and Dafener Parham Wilhite. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, D.J.

Gloria was a cherished soul who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. A dedicated wife, she was the glue that held her family together. With a passion for shopping, yard sales and the artistry of quilt-making, her creativity and warmth left an indelible mark on those around her. Her love for the beach brought her joy whenever she was there. Her devotion to her family and two dogs, Pepper and Peanut, was a testament to her compassionate heart. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 32 years, Scott Moore; son, Chris Hancock (Jessica); grandchildren, Maekayla Chandler (Robert), Hailey Mackey (Blake), and Lindsy Hancock (Steven Miller); great-grandchildren, Kyra Mackey, Oliver Mackey, Carson Miller, Kaleb Miller, Bryson Miller, and Kobe Miller, sister, Tammy Selph (Gary Bare) and her sister-in-law, Bonnie Webb.

The family will receive friends from 11:30-12:45 at Whitley’s Funeral Home in Kannapolis, followed by a graveside service at 1:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Park with Rev. Dennis Morgan officiating.
