Gloria "Deanie" Sells

Obituary: Gloria "Deanie" Reynolds Sells, 82, of Landis went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at CHC-Northeast Medical Center Concord. Deanie was born October 10, 1935 in Rowan County, a daughter of the late David Clyde Reynolds and the late Lula Belle Watts Reynolds. She was a lifelong and faithful member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Landis where she served as treasurer. She retired from Johnson's Superette. She also worked for the Landis Police Department as a school crossing guard in the 1970s'. Deanie enjoyed spending time with her friends and her family and going out to eat. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Sells and sisters; Helen Jones, Jesse Mots Callahan, Eunice Mason, Betty Nickelson, Viola (Babe) Porter, one brother, James Wood and a number of nieces and nephews. Family members left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Grechen Sells Guill of Troutman and Selina Hamrick (Bill) of Salisbury, two sons, David Sells (Katie) and Keith Sells both of Landis, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and five step grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Hazel Rallings. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1:30 P.M.-2:45 P.M. prior to the service.
Visitation: 1:30 to 3:00 p.m., Sunday September 2, 2018 Whitley's Funeral Home.

Service: 3:00 PM, Sunday September 2, 2018 Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment: West lawn Memorial Park China Grove, North Carolina
