Obituary: Gnia Lor Vang, age 68, passed away while traveling to visit family in Kentucky on Wednesday, April 6, 2016. He was born September 10, 1947 in Xiengkhuang, Laos, the son of the late Pang Toua Vang and Jia Yang Vang. He served in the Vietnam War for the U.S. as part of the CIA's secret army prior to his immigration to the States where he became a successful entrepreneur of any sorts. His enormous personality, boisterous laugh, and generosity will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family. The family will be receiving friends from 8am-12am (16 hours) on April 30th, 2016 at Whitley's Funeral Home, 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd., Kannapolis, NC 28083 followed by a grave-side memorial at 11am on May 1st, 2016 at CarolinaMemorial Park, 601 Mt.
