Goldie "Kathleen" (Measmer) Ball

Goldie “Kathleen” Ball, 86, of Faith passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022 at home, after a period of declining health. Born July 11, 1936 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Lee and Flora Ellen Riley Measmer. Her beloved husband John Edward Ball preceded her in death in November 2020.

Kathleen loved drawing and painting. She also enjoyed watching television westerns, especially The Lone Ranger.

Her memory will be forever cherished by those she leaves behind including her five children, Johnny Lee Ball and wife Daphne of Salisbury, Kathy Upright of Kannapolis, Bobby Ball of Kannapolis and his girlfriend Lynne Rogers of Chester, Amy Ball of Kannapolis and Benny Ball of Faith; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, and one very special fur baby Booty.

A funeral service to honor Kathleen’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Whitley’s Funeral Chapel, Kannapolis. Interment will immediately follow in Carolina Memorial Park. Bob Harvey will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. prior to service Sunday at the funeral home.
