Obituary: Grady K. Black, 82 of Harrisburg, passed away December 30, 2017 at CMC-Main. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday January 3, 2018 at Whitley's Annex Chapel with the Rev. Michael Culler officiating; burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Annex Chapel. He was born June 4, 1935 in Cabarrus Co. to the late Curtis Black and Jennie Morrow Black. Grady worked for Cannon Mills for 28 years in the weave room and then started his own business supplying and maintaining air compressors at gas stations. Grady loved classic cars, going to car shows and restoring and maintaining his own classic cars and trucks He also owned and operated Country Corner Buggy Bath. He was preceded in death by his daughter Melissa Langston in 2013, four brothers James, Robert, Eugene, and Bill Black and one sister Lucille Black. Those left to cherish his memory, his wife of 55 years, Patsy Black, two grandchildren Dillon Thomas of Harrisburg, Cara Thomas of Kannapolis, and several nieces and nephews also his buddy Champ.
