Grady Lee Steen

Obituary: Grady Lee Steen, age 73, died Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, NC after several years of declining health. He was born November 5, 1937 in Anson County, NC, the son of the late Frank Steen and Bessie Clanton Steen.Grady was a graduate of Landis High School. Grady was employed with the Sony Music Corp., Atlanta, GA for many years until his retirement.He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.His family fondly remembers his love of boating on Lake Norman and his cigars. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday, December 10, 2010 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Chris O'Guin.Burial will be at a later date.The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service. Survivors include his son, Chad L. Steen of China Grove, NC; his daughter, Laura Steen Millwood & husband, Randy of Concord, NC; his brothers, Fred Steen, Sr. & wife, Bettye of Concord, NC and Robert Steen of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Lillian Adams of Wadesboro, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Service: A memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday, Dec. 10, 2010 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel.
