Gregory William "Greg" Hallford

Gregory William “Greg” Hallford, 64, of Kannapolis, peacefully passed away at home Thursday evening, January 11, 2024, following a period of declining health.

Born June 2, 1959, in Cabarrus County, Greg was a son of the late William E. Hallford, Jr and Mildred Henderson Hallford. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were his brother, Mark Hallford; brother-in-law, Mike Rouse; and a niece, Jenna McLain.

Greg was a 1977 graduate of AL Brown High. He had previously worked for Concrete Supply, and was later employed by the City of Kannapolis. A loving brother, uncle, great uncle and friend, Greg will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family members include his sisters, Sheila H. McLain (Mike) and Debbie H. Rouse; nephew, Zach McLain (Brittany); his nieces, Crystal R. Branem (Aaron) and Amber R. James (Donald); great nieces, Emarie and Hannah James; and his great nephew, Waylon McLain.

To remember and honor Greg, the family will receive friends at Whitley’s Funeral Home on Saturday, January 20th, from 3:00-5:00 PM. A private graveside service will take place at a later date at Carolina Memorial Park.
