Gregory “Greg” Scott Daniels, 55, of Kannapolis, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024.
Greg was born on June 20, 1968 in Burlington, NC to the late Harold “Smiley” Daniels Jr. and Treva Agnew Daniels.
Greg had a passion for music and was happiest doing anything that involved the making of music or assisting others in their creative pursuits. In his younger years, he and his closest friends formed a band, “The Occupants,” where Greg lent his vocal talents as lead singer. He attended East Carolina University, was certified in servicing Steinway and Yamaha pianos and previously owned Atlantic Piano and Electronics. He tuned and tested pianos and keyboards for various artists when they were performing in the area. Most recently, he was very excited about working with the team at Wallbanger Studios in Kannapolis, enjoying the camaraderie he found there.
Those left to cherish Greg’s memory include two daughters, Elizabeth Daniels Robertson (Liam) and Emily Daniels; half-brother, Lee Daniels; cousins who were more like siblings, Valerie Agnew-Gover (Mike), Barry Agnew, Kim Daniels Shomali, and Penny Daniels Hite; uncle, Norman Agnew (Rose) and Hurley Hinshaw; aunts who were more like mamas, Doris Agnew and Lynda Daniels Hinshaw; and numerous other cousins, extended family members and friends.
