Gwyn Charlene Kluttz

Obituary: Gwyn Charlene Kluttz, 70, of China Grove, passed away at her home August 9th, 2018 She was born June 14, 1948 in Concord to Mary Agnus Flowers and the late Reese Watson Sloan. She attended South Rowan High School and Kings College. She retired from Food Lion in 2011, after 29 years of service. During retirement she spent her time keeping her grandchildren and gardening. Ms. Kluttz attended Living Water Church of God (formerly Lane St Church of God) since 1975 where she was a Sunday school teacher, nursery teacher, and graciously provided food for every occasion throughout her years of faithful service. In addition to her mother, Ms. Kluttz is survived by her daughter, Melissa Hughes of China Grove, and her sons Charlie Kluttz and wife, Jennifer, of China Grove, and Albert Kluttz and wife Michelle of Enochville; grandchildren, Taylor Kluttz, Lexie Hughes, Sydney Hughes, Cadence Kluttz, Emily Kluttz and Cody Kluttz, sisters, Dolores McDowell and husband, Jerry, of Raleigh, Karen Miller and husband Henry, of Mooresville; brothers, Lee Sloan and wife, Maria, of Corpus Christi TX, David Sloan and wife Judy of Rock Hill SC, and Edwin Sloan and wife Linda of Honduras. The family will greet friends and relatives on Sunday August 12th at 2:30pm. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM on the same day both at Living Water Church of God with Rev. Wade Easom, officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn cemetery Mt Zion section. Online condolences may be left at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com.
