Harley Nichole Messina

Harley Nichole Messina, 25 of China Grove went to be with the lord on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at her residence. Death was unexpected due to health complications.

Harley was born February 1, 1995 in Rowan County.
She was the daughter of Chris and Denise Messina , Melinda Sutton (Jerry) and Curtis Saunders (Denise).

Harley was a 2013 graduate of A.L. Brown High School. She had served as manager for various restaurants until her health declined. She was a member of Risen Life Church where she had been a member of the Youth Group.

Harley enjoyed photography and was full of life, she had the biggest smile and enjoyed being the center of attention.

Harley was preceded in death by a daughter, Araya Messina and a brother Timothy Hooks Coe.

Survivors also include a son, Hunter Brantley Thurston of Kannapolis, three brothers; Dalton (Hannah) Melton, Dustin (Christa) Sullivan and Jason Sullivan. She is also survived by four sisters, Heather Messina, Kirsten (Kilburn) Allman, Jessica Messina and Ali Kastner. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

A service to celebrate Harley’s life will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Risen Life Church in Kannapolis conducted by Rev. Chris Messina. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 Noon Saturday, May 9, 2020 until the time of the service at 2:00 P.M.  At other times the family will be at their respective residences.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Risen Life Church, 623 N. Juniper Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081 which will be placed in a fund for her son Hunter.
