Harold Thomas "Buddy" Beets

Obituary: Harold Thomas Beets, known to friends as "Buddy," age 78, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by family, Saturday, December 15, 2018, after several years of declining health. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 19,2018 at 3:00 PM, at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. Buddy, known to family as "Pops," was born September 14, 1940 to the late Jackson Stanley and Onnie Wise Beets. He is survived by wife, Wanda Sanders Beets of the home; a son, Jeffrey Alan Beets, his wife, Alisa Goodale Beets, and granddaughter, Alexis Britney Beets; all of Chesterfield, SC. He worked for Cannon Mills and retired with Fluor -Daniel as a project manager. He loved his work and the people that worked with him. He was an avid Braves fan. He had a love for old cars and anything automotive. He was an expert craftsman, and used his expertise to build his log home. He never met a stranger and had a nickname for most everyone.
