Harry Flowe Barnhardt

Obituary: Harry Flowe Barnhardt, 97, of Kannapolis passed away peacefully on April 4, 2018. He was born September 22, 1920 in Cabarrus County, a son of the late Harold and Velna Castor Barnhardt. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Barnhardt in 1974 and two brothers, Grady and Earl Barnhardt. Harry was store manager of NAPA in North Kannapolis for 47 years. He was an avid fan of sports, especially baseball. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for over 65 years. A funeral mass will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, April 8, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated by Father Al Riquelme. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday at Whitley's Funeral Home. Harry is survived by his wife of 76 years, Martha Ann Goodman Barnhardt, daughter, Marcia Barnhardt of Kannapolis, son, Tim Barnhardt and wife, Regina of Suwanee, GA, grandson, Morgan Barnhardt and wife, Lisa Schick Barnhardt, granddaughter, Madison Barnhardt and fiancé, Austin Loughmiller, 3 half-brothers, Steve, Eddie and David Barnhardt and many nieces and nephews. Harry will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. In lieu of flowers the family wishes for donations to be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in memory of Harry Barnhardt.
