Harvey Wayne Mcdaniel

Obituary: Harvey Wayne McDaniel, 68, of 1208 West A Street, Kannapolis, died on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at his home. Mr. McDaniel was born on August 17, 1941 in Mooresville, NC, the son of Gertie Pethel McDaniel of Kannapolis and the late, Raymond Clarence McDaniel. Mr. McDaniel was a self employed electrician and was raised in the Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church family. He loved astronomy, 50's music and NASCAR. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters; Vickie Waldroup and Judy Ange both of Kannapolis as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. McDaniel is also survived by his companion, Brenda Abee. The funeral service for Mr. McDaniel will take place 2 p.m., Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Richard Rhoades. Burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 2 before the service.
