Obituary: Harvey Junior Tutterow, 87, of Landis, NC died at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis on Oct. 12, 2015. Mr. Tutterow was born on August 7, 1928 in Davie Co., NC the son of the late Harvey Tutterow, Sr. and the late Fannie Wood Tutterow. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Roger Tutterow, 1 brother and 5 sisters. Mr. Tutterow had worked for many years for Cannon Mills Co. as a fixer and retired from Park Dale Mill in Landis. The service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, Oct. 15th at First Freewill Baptist Ch. in China Grove conducted by Pastor Mark Murph and Pastor Jeremy Morton. Burial will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM, Wednesday at Whitley's Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Tutterow of China Grove, 3 daughters; Betty Welch (Donald), Hilda Smith (Jim) and Kathy Almond (Gary); 2 sons; Randy Tutterow (Christine) and Tim Tutterow (Angie), a step-daughter, Becky Drake along with 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 6 step-greatgrandchildren.
