Obituary: Hazel Leona Drye Bostian, 73, of Kannapolis went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Tucker Hospice House following a period of declining health. She was born December 8, 1939 in Cabarrus County, NC, a daughter of the late Leroy and Lillie Viola Burris Drye. She was a member of Northwest Baptist Church. Hazel retired from McKesson Pharmaceuticals. She had a great love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which were her passion in life. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Northwest Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Terry Brown and Rev. Jeff Upright. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to final rites. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Whitey's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Clyde A. Bostian of the Home, two sons, Rocky A. Bostian and wife Pamela and Chris A. Bostian, both of Kannapolis. Five grandchildren, Taren Howard, Heather Hoyle, Rocky A. Bostian, II, Justin Bostian and Chase Collier, five great grandchildren, Aubrey Howard, Brennen Hoyle, Aiyanna Bostian, Chandler Hoyle, and Noah Bostian, and one sister, Bernice Powers of Concord.
