Hazel Cline

Obituary: China Grove-Hazel Brackett Cline, 83, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Tucker Hospice House. Born July 3, 1932 in Shelby, NC, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Pearl Overcash Brackett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Nathan Cline, a son Dale Cline, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Hazel had worked at Johnson's Superette in China Grove for many years and was a faithful, proud member of First Freewill Baptist Church. Family members include her son Steven Cline; her daughter Vicki Cline Rattler, both of China Grove; grandchildren Brandon Rattler, Chris Cline, Elisha Cline, Nathan Freeman and Salina Cline; and her great-grandchildren Ashley and Blake Hodge, and Emily, Cameron and Kaleigh Marie Rattler. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 8 from 1:00-2:00 pm at First Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services to remember and celebrate Hazel's life will begin at 2:00 in the church, conducted by Martin Murphy, pastor. Entombment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park.
